Dear Friends, Happy New Year!
If you are open and available, we are looking for volunteers to join us on Mondays from 2:15 pm to 4:15 pm at the Peninsula Park Community Center to hand out free food to members of our community in need. The Urban Gleaners is teaming up with the Peninsula Park Community Center and holding a community center food market every Monday for the foreseeable future. Friends of Penrose Volunteers will be helping set-up, pass out food and assist in any way. If you are interested, please RSVP on Track-It-Forward.

What to Expect:
Urban Gleaners offers delicious fresh food to those who need it. Here’s what to expect at all of our sites:
All are welcome
Food is always free
Markets are set up “shopping style” where you’ll have the opportunity to choose which grocery items best fit your preferences
There are no income or personal information requirements to participate unless a site is affiliated with Oregon Food Bank
Our Free Food Market sites are considered safe and welcoming spaces. Our volunteers and participants alike are expected to maintain a respectful and uplifting environment—food for all!
